my HP laptop came with win xp HOME and right now it's unusable as it gets stuck at the blue windows screen (Right before login). The recommended solution to access the data on the hdd is to repair the OS with a regular home xp cd. only thing is that i don't have that cd, i have the pro cd from my desktop.

so when I upgrade to xp pro, i believe i will need the drivers for the laptop. does anyone know where i can find the drivers and what drivers do i need? i looked on the hp site and all they gave was BIOS, keyboard, and cdrw firmware.

also, if anyone has comments on this solution, i'm open to suggestions. Thanks
