Drivers For A 6800 GT AGP?

Is there any need, or benefit to using the latest, or close to latest version of drivers for a 6800GT AGP card?

I was only considering using the 80.xx or 90.xx was all...

I suppose it would depend if you're playing a more recent game that might not play as well if using an older driver.

The newer drivers can fix some bugs with the latest games.

That said, my old box with a 7900GT in is running 84.21 drivers, but gaming wise its only used for FEAR and Source multiplayer games over the Lan so no need to update.

I'd say no but it's up to you. If the games you're playing are playing according to your likeness than why bother? Have an issue that bugs you so to speak then upgrade your drivers.🙂

 
I just got the card, so I haven't installed to much for it yet, still playing with them, haven't found anything that's running good...
 
84.21's were the absolute best drivers for the 6-series of cards. Go with those and if you have trouble, try something newer.
