drivers for 802.11b usb devices

I posted this in the networking forum and the answer seems to be no, but I though if anyone knows it would be the linux guys and gals that hang out here. Here is my original post on it. I am actually looking for drivers for a wirelesss usb Orinoco NIC. If there really are none to be found. Why and when might there be some? Thanks for any extra help.

Currently that is a non-starter. The drivers (from what I understand) are being worked on but are not in a state that are usable whatsoever. My recommendation is to get a PCI version of the Linksys card or but a wireless router. I believe they can be had for under $100.00 now.
