when i tried to load counter-strike:source and the message came out saying, "your video drivers appear to be out of date and could cause problems if you choose to continue and run the game. we strongly recommend that you follow the link below and update your video drivers to the latest version available from your driver vendor."

do i really need to update my drivers? i don't download from nvidia beacuse it wouldn't allow me to overclock so i download drivers from tweaksrus.

my forceware version is 92.91 and the video bios version is also at 5.71.22.12.10. the brand is bfg tech.

p.s. the default clocks are 670/1640, i overclock to 720/1760.
 
They should both allow you to overclock, no matter what drivers your using.
Get the latest XG drivers (160.02) at tweaksrus.

And just use Rivatuner to overclock instead.

Then try the game.
 
Yeah, I and a bunch of people I know, got that message last week. Some updated drivers and still got the message. I didn't update and haven't had any problems. I think i'm running 91.47 or something like that with a 7800gt.
