Drivers everywhere...can't get rid of em.

My computer is a big mess of invalid and unknown drivers, I don't know where it all started but i don't know how to go about getting rid of everything i don't want/need. I don't know if i'll be able to sort them out though. I was hoping there was a program that could do it for me, but I haven't found much. Driver cleaner works well, but only for a handful of different things. I need a good driver-fixer-upper-cleaner program to help me out. Otherwise I guess i should reinstall Windows XP? Thanks.

What do you mean invalid or unknown drivers? Are you referring to device manager? How do you know you have all these invalid drivers?

It's kind of hard to explain in detail. Basically there's just bits and pieces of old/invalid software/hardware drivers here and there and some things aren't working correctly. I want to get rid of all the drivers I don't need, and if possible (but probably not) somehow fix the drivers that are having problems (like showing up as invalid or unknown in device manager, of which there are currently 6 different things).

Sometimes it's best to just reformat and start over fresh. 😛

I did this last March and although it took me a solid week to get everything back to the way I like it, it was totally worth the trouble.
