nVidia Forceware 100.54 for Vista vs. 93.71/97.92 for XP
Article says the driver that will be released on the 30th will be an updated version.
Testing was done with 32-bit Vista.
-Crossfire and G80 SLI are clearly not ready and really not worth mentioning at this point.
-7950GX2 numbers are pretty damn good, almost tied with XP
-8800GTX numbers are promising (1920x1200, 8xQ AA, 16xAF)
ES4O: 61 vs 70
FEAR: 38 vs 41
NFSC: 25 vs 31
Prey: 57 vs 67
-X1900XT (1680x1050, 16xAF, 2xAA for FC & HL2)
DM: 35 vs 36
HL2: 53 vs 56
Far Cry: 32 vs 38
Prey: 26 vs 35
Really good development on the ATi front has more to do with CCC no longer being the bloated and unresponsive piece of crap that it is universally acknowledged as.
Okay, I don't quite see why they couldn't test both cards with the same suite of games but I guess this will have to do for now. Cheers!
