I'm running win2k pro, and whenever I OC my system, even if it's a 1mhz bus adjustment, and attempt to play Quake2, I get this retarded error. OpenGL refuses to work. I've got the newest dets... What is it? what causes it? How do I fix it?
thanks!

= system not stable

bring down the system to a more reasonable clock speed, up cpu voltage, or improve cooling. it has nothing to do with the program--your system is just unstable.

Just to add a quick note:

I actually got this exact error message while trying to install XP Pro a few days ago. On the second try it went through fine without any adjustments. So I'll throw my guess out there and support the instability theory :D

I've got 256mb of Mosel Vitalic PC133..I don't think it's bad..it's brand new. Now it's freezing Q2 @ default speed :(
I'm gonna try new sound card drivers. when it freezes it replays a sound over and over and over..heh it's a thought who knows!

The DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bug check has value 0x000000D1. This signifies that the system attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high. This bug check is usually caused by drivers that have used improper addresses. As you've probably figured out, this has nothing to do with your overclocking. Try to find updated drivers for you peripherals (especially those for gaming). It might not be a bad idea to update your 4-in-1's if you haven't done so in a while. Is this on the Iwill KK266 board?

By the way, the link to your rig is wrong. It should be this, http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?rigid=14906

I just got this error on a non-overclocked XP 1700+...My machine is freshly loaded with all the updates... Rock stable. On 24/7. I play CS and Midtown Madness 2 fine. Run TV in window while surfing and working in Word and Excel and check email and ICQ at the same time fine. Run Quake III fresh install with latest point release and the new 2.4 Urban Terror mod..first time I fire it up BSOD....IRQ crap..I chalk this one up to an ID problem.

Hey I just got this too. A stick of my ram died. Well I kinda killed it with overclocking. DAMN IT! :|
