Hello, i've been looking around all over the abit / intel site for chipset driver updates for my intel i865 motherboard and I can't find anything, I finally found an install file that should have worked for my mother board a lot of others from it's series but when I install it it says "ini file is missing" not really sure what to do right now.
The main reason im trying to update these drivers is because I started playing everquest 2 the other day, it's been working fine i recently reformatted and I upgraded over night "last night" to service pack 2, now all the sudden whenever I launch it it closes it down and I get no error msg, I tried all different verison of the catalyst drivers for my ati 9800 pro and now I figured i'd try to update the chipset drivers... I just found out that it wasn't starting because it was in full screen mode, i changed it to windowed mode and it loaded fine, then if I changed it to full screen in game it works with no problems... The tech support guys with eq2 told me this
your dxdiag shows that you are using 1024 MB ram but your msinfo shows that you are using 4224 MB ram. (he might have ment to type 422 mb ram)
My thoughts point towards memory failure.
I also noticed having small issues with counter strike and war craft 3, i've crashed randomly with both of those games a few times with no error msgs of any sort. All of these games worked perfectly and with no problems until I reformatted. he asked me to run those 5-6 hour ram tests but I really rather not put that strain on my ram. let me know what you guys think
