So I'm swapping out an older ATI Radeon card to a newer nVidia Geforce card tonight. Hoping space won't be an issue and am looking forward to Quake 4 taking a big jump in visual quality. Currently playing on a Dell 2005FPW (which I just RMA'd and got a good one without any dead pixels and virtually no backlight issues, lucky me!).

I recall a thread here recently about uninstalling and reinstalling video card drivers. My question is, can I pop out the old ATI card, pop in the new nVidia card and fire up my computer using XPs drivers and do the driver swap? In other words, is it a fairly simple process, or do I have to go through some deep formatting steps? I would love to keep it simple. Is there a program that cleans out all old drivers before firing up the new ones?

thanks..

uninstall old drivers, use driver cleaner, take out old card, put in new one, windows will install a basic driver so u can boot fine, install nvidia drivers and nJoy
