i was installing drivers for my mouse and when i restarted, it lost info for the .lnk extension. as a result all the shortcuts on the desktop and start menu were lost. anybody know what i should do to the registery or win configurations to get these working again? thanks in advance. mark

Installing drivers for just about any device *shouldnt* change the .LNK registration. What mouse/drivers did you install and what version of Windows?

Assuming 2000 or XP here is an export of my WinXP HKCL .lnk registrations (you cant change it via windows explorer). I suggest making a backup of the current settings before applying these.
