Driver order install for new p4 system?

anomaly

Senior member
1. Flash BIOS to newest
2. Install XP
3. Install keyboard/mouse drivers *I use Elite Duo wireless*
4. Install service packs
5. Install newest 3d card drivers
6. Install monitor drivers
7. Install network drivers
8. start installing 3rd party software

Am I missing anything here?

the intel chipset driver should be in before you install your video drivers!

that, and i don't see what's the point of flashing the bios if the board is new

the key is to install essential drivers first. first chipset drivers then service packs then video then the others

i think you can skip the video driver too if you're running XP. installing it again doesn't hurt tho. and what, moniter driver??? they don't say "plug and play" for no reason you know. are you sure your moniter has a "driver"?

remember restart each time you are told to do so
