Driver issues...

Hi all,

I recently started fresh on my computer because the nvidia firewall wasn't allowing me to download files...even though I had turned it off and uninstalled it.

Well, that issue is fixed. Unfortunately, now my nForce based motherboard won't recognize two things:

USB drivers
Audio drivers

Both are integrated. Yes - I have tried updating the drivers fresh from nvidia. NOTHING is working.

Any help?

Jacob

Hey Magnus,

No - I could clear the CMOS, but I have never flashed a BIOS, and to be honest, I'm not sure how confident in my abilities I am. Pluls, I don't have a floppy disk for a boot drive...can it be done without one?

Thanks :)

First try clearing the CMOS and that should hopefully allow you to update the drivers. If not, post some info on what MB you have and we can check what options are available to you for flashing the BIOS. Course, it never hurts to check the manual. :)

Cleared the CMOS...no luck! The problem is, before I re-installed Windows, the drivers were working fine.

I will fiddle a little around in the BIOS, but damn - what's going on?
