my sound, my ethernet port, and my computers abililty to recognize external harddrives are not there.

can someone please guide me in the right direction.

My computer is a Compaq SR1950nx their website doesnt help.

 
if you don't have any of the original cd's that came with it... hp/compaq are retards, and usually charge around $20 for a cd with every driver for your comp... I find the selection of drivers on thier support site is selective at best. You could always try, www.driverguide.com user ID = drivers... password = all
