Ok, it is generally suggested to delete all prior drivers and changing registry entries before upgrading drivers. ( In my case the generic Radeon drivers to the 7072 ones.) It was also suggested to me to manually install these drivers. If i unzip the drivers to C:\Windows\Desktop\Radeon , how would i manually install these drivers from the setup after i reboot my computer and it asks for drivers.

Its not that hard. Here's what I do and never have a problem. Use add/remove programs. Uninstall Ati display diver and multimedia center and anything else ATI. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software and delete any ATI key. Reboot, install the new drivers with the setup utility. Will work just fine.

I guess if you want to. I've been through (if I remember right) 3056, 3063, 7041, 7062, 7068, 7072 drivers. Never did that once.

After you uninstall the old drivers, reboot. You will come up in standard VGA mode. Install the new drivers with the setup.exe. Reboot again. The 7072s will give you some weird error the first time you boot. I forget what it is. Just ignore it.
