Driver cuts off cyclist, then goes nuts

How is the driver wrong? He turned right. Whats wrong about that? You are supposed to slow down if you are behind them and wait for them to turn. WTF? Stupid pedal spinners.

The little fella turned right across another lane. But that's not at all what this is about.

lol that would be correct if it were correct, but it isnt. The guy in the van wouldn't just change lanes like that if there were a car instead of the bike, and the same rules apply to bikes, even moreso when they are in a dedicated bike lane. The guy in the van cut off the guy on the bike. The van should have waited for the lane to be clear before moving into it.

automobiles are for pussies. any moron can drive them.. and they do.

Au contraire mon frere, it's the other way around. Which, this perfectly illustrates the typical cyclist's mentality and thought process.

Any moron can ride a bike, it's been done since you just started to walk. Now, even though most people of legal age can get a license, not all of them are competent drivers. I just kinda want to throw that out there just in case you're too lost in your own entitled ignorance to realize.

I do not hate bikers in general but they do not belong on busy city streets and crazy intersections. The "bike lane" concept is crazy hippie talk, bikes belong in the suburbs and remote areas for leisure weekend rides, not primary mode of communication in downtown type areas.

But lo-T driving minivan and going full retard is always funny to watch! 😀

And how else are people supposed to get around? Mass transit doesn't always go where people need to go. Parking is a serious issue in many cities, and it can be quite expensive. Owning a car isn't exactly cheap either, with all of its associated costs.

Bicyclists are a nuisance on the road and I can see the driver had to make a choice while driving through the intersection just before - but the driver could have easily let him pass by first, taking an extra 3.3 seconds of his time with no confrontation or stress. Would he have done that to a car in the right lane while he was in the left? Inconsiderate a-hole driver.

BTW, all those videos are awesome.

The same way everyone who doesn't enjoy wearing spandex does?

I have no problems with bikes, as long as the riders have some respect for the rules of the road, traffic lights and signage, pedestrians, automobiles, and themselves, then we'll get along just fine. Unfortunately, most cyclists lack most if not all of the things that I mentioned.

In every office probably only 5% or less people actually get around on bikes, so however the rest of the organizations does, the 5% can follow suite too. There should not be a special rules and precious real estate for a niche/hip market. Moreover, most downtowns now have free transit to go around in the downtown area. If you are commuting by bike, you must be living close by, so yes, please use mass transit. If you are into gentrification to save money then please do not do it at the expense of the others. If it was janitors, custodians and cafeteria workers coming on bike then I would be all for it. When well paid white collar hippies want their own land, I can't support it.

Also, in most of the Unites States, due to weather, a good part of the year is not bike rideable, who do these people get around then?

I actually don't mind bikes in the bike lane, so long as they are observing normal traffic laws. However, the idiots who think they only take up so much of a lane, disregard the average speed of a road, and disregard anything not connected to their bike are fucking idiots who should be run over. If drivers drove like most cyclists, we'd have a lot more traffic accidents. Thankfully, most people pay just a little bit more attention and understand they don't own the road as much.

I just unhooked the battery from your trolling motor. Tell us how you really feel.

Reeeer! Whir! Whir! Hummmmzzz BUzzzzz!

He didn't see him because he isn't a car, but he thinks he's a car because he wears women's underwear.

Which places have "free transit" downtown? I havn't come across any. And precious space for bikes? In one street parking space, you can park many bikes on a rack. Shaving street width with a bike lane is a good traffic calming measure. Too many people treat city streets like a speedway. Part of the reason people don't ride as much as they could is because the perceive the roads as dangerous - building infrastructure that also supports other modes of transportation, like bikes, is a good thing for cities.

Maybe the driver should get his eyes checked. He's obviously too incompetent to be on the road if he can't see a bike on the street, where it is legally required to be.

OK so easy solution:

People ride bikes on the sidewalk where its safer and more convenient.

But they now have a 5 MPH speed limit.

That all sounds really dumb and I wish I wouldn't have read it. 🙂

Just spend a extra 10 seconds and let the bicyclist go ahead and then make your turn. Problem solved. :colbert:

Silly cyclist. You don't hit the back of the vehicle. You swerve along the side of the vehicle, letting your pedal take care of the contact. Unsafe lane change for the driver.

fucking dipshit. the cyclist was riding, why intentionally try to cause a problem or hurt the cyclist? i hope his precious minivan gets hit by a driver who doesn't like seeing minivans legally driving on the road.
