This is kind of an offshoot of my other troubleshooting thread (http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...tid=31&threadid=1588215&enterthread=y). Ive been getting lock ups in 3Dmark05 and the Splinter Cell:CT demo with a 6800GT, as well as some poor performance/glitches in games. When I used a 9800pro everything was up to par so I figure its got something to do with the card. I went to reinstall the GT but when reinstalling the latest Nvidia drivers after using Driver Cleaner Pro it asked me if I want to overwrite the files. I finally had to enter "yes to all" to get on with the install. Its as if the whole set is still there after I uninstalled. So I tried to use Driver Cleaner again after another uninstall and checked the status this time. Only 6 or 7 entries regarding the directory for Nvidia showed up. Its not finding the majority of the files for some reason?
I ran Cab cleaner and the SP2 cleaner before all of this. I dont know if overwriting drivers is the cause of my woes but the set not uninstalling properly is a concern regardless. Could use some advice here.
