Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if there is a Driver/BIOS update notifier similar to Windows Update that monitors your components and lets you know when a new update is available? I hate having to check a million different websites and then search my version number. Thanks! System config below

ASRock P67 Extreme4
Intel Core i5 2500k
MSI GTX460 Twin Frozr II
4GB RAM

Did you check any of the provided software that came with the board? I don't own an ASRock mobo but I know Asus offers a BIOS Check tool.

There is, but most are riddled with spyware. I wouldn't touch them. You can get a BIOS update checker from your manufacturer (Gigabyte has one and ASUS as mentioned by billybOb above)

I did find one a year ago which was spyware free (cost $30), but it just didn't do a good job. I found more recent drivers than they had in their database by going directly to the manufacturer of the parts i needed to update.

You shouldn't have to update too many components anyway. Usually just updating your GPU/Chipset/IDE,SATA,RAID should keep your system in top shape.

Things like BIOS/LAN/WIFI/USB 3.0 ect... only need to be updated if your having problems or need new features which newer drivers support.

Yeah, the only software I remember coming with the ASRock is the tuning utility and it doesn't have the update feature. I guess I will keep going the manual way until ASRock decides to put something together.

If you system works well, why do you need updated drivers or bios? The obsession with continually updating drivers and bios is hazardous to your system.
