While at times it may satisfying, I have a hard time supporting vigilante justice in cases like this.

It was just last year wasn't it that a crowd beat a middle age guy to death in a similar accident? IIRC he had no alcohol or drugs, & hadn't been speeding/driving recklessly. He had a seizure/heart attack, something.

Happened on the south side of Chi town, iirc, but that was more than a year ago .. mayhap it's happened more than once. Ya know, maybe it isn't congruent with my stance on the bottle rocket thread, but wtf - these people were standing on the fvcking curb to watch this guy. While the driver is not blameless (and should face charges), I believe any of the bystanders who attacked him should also be charged - and perhaps those that didn't should be charged as accessories.
