DriveImage is not working

I want to back up my C partition ( only my OS ). I select it, compress high, and save the image to my second HD. Reboot and it does its thing. But then when i try to access the image, it gives me an error.

Have tried both Drive Image 5 and 6...

Maxtor 120gb 8mb cache ( ata 133 ) - master on first ide
Maxtor 60gb 2mb cache ( ata 133 ) - slave on first ide

120gb is partitioned 5gb for Windows ( C: ) and 109gb ( D: )

60gb drive is one big primary partition

are you using the boot discs and pointing it to the image or are you just clicking on the image?

it has been a while but you have to use the drive image software to load the image ie you cant just view the image

does this help?

Afte the image is created, I boot back into windows. Open up Image Explorer, and it cannot access the image..

to be honest i have never tried running it off a second harddrive only off cdr

i use DI 5 all the time . what error are you getting ? the screen shot is of partion magic. have you tryed using just drive image to explore the image ? also when you make the image are you letting it verify the integrity ?

SS ( Image Explorer ) May try Drive Image Dos later but IMO I should at least be able to look at the image in Windows
