so i just got back from mcdonalds and i have a huge dilema. i need some advice for future reference.

there were 3 cars ahead of me in the drivethrough line, so i thought, well, alright, ill pick up a bigmac. turns out the line didnt move for 10 minutes, so im getting frustrated. meanwhile, 3 other cars pile up behind me so i am now stuck. okay so the first guy goes, and the second person spends another 6-7 minutes to make her order (in an eclipse spider, white car, nice ride). So i go to the speakerphone next and the guy goes "may i take your order?" so i tell him, and continue to wait 10 minutes without response until another guy comes up on the speaker and goes "can i take your order?"

at this point, the dude behind me is getting pissed off and cursing like mad and im getting pissed because i know there is some incompetent fvcktard operating the drive-through. turns it took another 5 minutes or so for the guy to come to the window to deliver the food.

So my question is.... what do i do next time?

PS. They didn't give me a straw for my drink, and my fries were cold and not full. Wow, Mcdonalds, you used to be the best.

Cliff notes:
-45 minutes wait in drivethrough line with 3 people ahead
-Cars behind me so i cant back out
-Need advice on future situations

Park your car in the line, walk inside and re-order. Then, they make your order twice and you win.

Assuming that because you posted this at 11:54, I'm going to assume you went there at 11:00. At the Mcdonald's I used to work at both of the grills would be shut down for cleaning by 10:30 or so, and there would be enough cooked meat to last until closing. There were also at most 3 employees and a manager, who are trying to clean up from the day, because they can't leave the store until it is clean, even if it takes them until 3:00AM. So odds are because the store got busy, they ran out of meat and had to fire up the grill again, which takes a while to heat up. Same for the fries, some incompetent employees like to let them sit under the heat lamp for a long period of time, even though the max is supposed to be 8 minutes. So it is not your fault, its just they weren't ready for you, and probably weren't following the holding time for any of the food.

And so, don't expect much from fast food late at night these days, because odds are you will just get food that has been sitting out for a long time. It shouldn't be that way, but thats what happens. As a rule I only go when they are busy, because then I know the food is fresh.

However, if you didn't go there at 11:00pm, disregard this entire post.

if you need help using the drive through then don't even bother, just end yourself and spare the gene pool.

i live on the west coast, so i was there at about 9:15-20. I ended getting out at about 10pm. dont think its that late. Carls jr. here is open till midnight. shouldve gone there.

as for not eating fast food, im just too lazy to make my own food. im in good shape so its not much of a problem. i figured mcdonalds was cheap, fast, and a quick stop on the way home.

oh well. its carls jr. next time.

When you pull up to the window to get your food take out your silenced pistol and pop one of them in the head.

True story...

My mother went through the Wendy's drive thru. Ordered her meal, payed at the window, received her food, went back to work (at the time her workplace was only 5/10 min away), etc. Upon returning to work, she noticed the order was completely wrong. Some mistake about the wrong sandwich being in the wrongly labeled wrapper or something (she did check the bag before pulling away, but assumed it was right because of the sandwich wrapped in a labeled wrapper). Anyway, called Wendy's and spoke to the manager about the problem, and get this.....they sent a Wendy's employee to deliver the right order along with a stack of coupons

Thats customer service my friends:)
