Drive Swap Questions

Ok Here is the deal-

Currently have two Hard drives, a 7.2GB(master) and a 17.2GB (slave)

The master has Windows, Office, Netscape, and all "utilities"
The slave has Just Games, downloaded files, and music.

I want to replace the 17.2 (going to use it else where) with a 40.0GB.

My idea was to install the 40.0 as the secondary slave and copy all the files from the 17GB to the 40GB, remove the 17GB install the 40GB as primary Slave and Walla! Is there any thing that would prevent this from working?

Thanks in advance.

As long as you have the space and the connections, the new drive will be seen by Windows, and all you really need to do is let Explorer copy everything on D: to whatever letter the new one is. (By protocol, it should come out as F.)

When you are done, the replace the 17.2 drive with the 40. Should not be a problem. Just make sure you know what drive you are going from and to.
