Ok I'm getting the MSI Pro2A during Christmas break and I'm wondering how to best configure my drives. Here's what I'm going to have: Maxtor 30.7GB ATA100 (yeah I know but it was on special), Plextor 12/10/32A and an Asus 50x. Naturally I want the best speed out of my HDD so does this mean I'll have to have both CD drives on the same line? What about Master/Slave settings?

What do you mean? Ive heard nothing but good things about that drive. Im getting that drive during xmas break.
 
I meant ATA100 vs ATA66. Got the Maxtor because they're fantastic drives, was going to get the same sized IBM drive but this board nudged me towards the Maxtor. Heh guess that did come out wrong eh? 🙂
 
I would put the Asus as master and use that as your main CD ROM driver, may as well put more use on the cheaper component.

I presume both of these devices are UDMA 33 anyway yeah?

Hmm good point. No way I'd use the burner as a normal CD drive, I don't care how well made the things are now, thanks. 🙂

I'm assuming they both are UDMA33, guess I'll find out in a couple weeks. I thought that most CD drives were still UDMA33, don't think I've seen anything but yet personally.
