I just built a new system and am trying to come up with a sane lettering solution.
Here's my old system:
b: data 1 (internal)
c: OS
d: factory image
e: dvd burner
f: c drive backup (external)
g-j: all sucked up by a multicard reader (only use g)
k: data 3 (music)
l: data 2 (external)
m: l drive backup
n: b drive backup
The data drives vary from 1tb to 2tb and are pretty much filled to the brim with photographs.
New system:
OS and data drive 1tb probably partitioned into 2 500gb drives
data 1 2tb
data 2 2tb (added later)
data 3 2tb (added later)
dvd burner
blue ray
multi card reader
external 4 bay enclosure mimicking my 4 internal drives
Do I assign d: to my second partition, have the dvd and br be e: and f:, then pair up my data and backup drives g/h , i/j etc. and let the card reader start from there? Can I assign lower letters to the card reader before I install all my drives?
