Drive letter HELP! Second hd letter missing in win98

I have recently set up a new machine and installed Win98 on the boot drive. I added a second hd to the configuration and it shows up in Bios but Win98 will not assign a drive letter to it. It shows up if I look in the "Control Panel/System/Hardware Configuration" area as a hd but it shows no letter assigned to it. Any help? PLEASE! 🙁
 
Have you done a FDISK on the second hard drive to create a primary partition or Extended partition with logical partition on it? That will give you the drive letter, and will allow you to format the partition.
