Drive-in restaurants were/are cool

I know some places still have them..

Remember how cool it was to pull into a parking space with a little speaker there ? Your brother and/or sister in the big old back seat with you and Mom and/or Dad(or boyfriend) up front. Then after a while a girl brings out a big tray of food and hangs it on your window.

After a while it's time for some dessert or ice cream and the lady comes back with a tray full of goodies.

It was good to be a kid back then. If you are a parent you should move to a town with a drive-in restaurant.



 
I guarantee you that drive-in anything pre-dates 90% of the members on this board.
Today's is the Drive-THRU generation. 🙂

Yeah, setup a radio station on FM channel that everyone can tune into in close proximity so they can use their stereo in the car. 😀

Also Sonic is still drive in. 🙂
 
I never cared for them, I like to sit in a place and enjoy my food. I sit in my car too much going to and from work..
 
You got to park just right at a drive-in theater, maybe you parked on the down slope and that is why you don't care for it.
