drive imageing and XP question

I have thought about getting Powerquest Drive Image 2002 to make an image of my hard drive

If I have XP will I have to re register it or will it be backed up and ready to go next time?
 
it will be an exact copy and will already have all the same info.
i use drive image 5.0 and it's great
