Drive Image completes, but no file created

Running XP on a Laptop that I partitioned with Partition Magic 8 I can't get Drive Image to create a image file. I ran it 3 times, it appears to work, it finishes the sequence and reboots, but there is no file created! I'm imaging C to a folder in D.

This is running XP w/sp2 on a HP Laptop (modified HO O/S). I have run this using 2k with little problems (at least not this).

Any ideas??

What is the "Used space" size on C?
What compression level did you choose?
How much free space is there on D?
Have you formated D?
Can you write to and read from D?

C is 5GB (1/2 used)
no compression
D is 23GB less than 200MB used
does it automatically when you partition it with PM
