I know there's another thread with a person asking about DVD-R and Ghost. Purely coincidental, I assure you.
Anyway, if I burn a Drive Image file that's less than 4.3gb onto a DVD-R blank, will I be able to reinstall my system from that disc back to it's former glory? I spent the whole day formatting my harddrive and installing a fresh copy of Windows XP, quicktime, winzip, photoshop, mozilla, opera, seti, antivirus, norton utilities, google bars, favorites, office, typing in keys, blah, blah, blah, blah.......
Anyway, having brought my system to a barebone install of Operating System and essential programs, I used Drive Image to make a backup, stored the backup on my 2nd harddrive, switched some settings around, told Drive Image to reinstall my backup, held my breath.... and voila! It worked! I'm in heaven. Will this work from a DVD-R blank? If I just point the program to the backup file on the DVD-R and tell it to reinstall, will it work?
I've just realized that my post is so long winded that I should be shot, but it's 5am in the morning and I need to get some sleep. My apologizes.
