...when on country roads, especially at night. I was coming home from helping with a network, driving on one of those twisty country roads. Somebody came flying up behind me and passed me, at a high rate of speed. A few miles up, I caught up with him. He'd hit someone's dog. I slowed to a crawl and watched as he touched it, it was obvious the dog never knew what hit it. I didn't see the accident, perhaps it could have been prevented, perhaps not. I can't help but think had he gone just a bit slower, then maybe the dog would be alive and home safe and sound right now.
