drive bay fans

does anyone know of any fans that are made to be used in the drive bays because i recently got an aspire x-plorer and found out that the intake at the front only has a little gap at the bottom to suck air in. I wont have all the parts to build for another 2 weeks so i cant test the airflow yet but im sure it will suck so if anyone knows of some fans made for use in the drive bays that would be very helpful(and if anyone has had experience with the x-plorer could you also please post about what you have found the airflow to be like).

thx

yes that seems to be exactly what would be needed.

the mesh stuff on the front would let air pass through but there solid plastic behind it preventing the air from getting through.

There is always the possibility that the supplied fan is one of the low and slow ones that just pump enough air to cool the drives so it wouldn't need much intake air to begin with.

yeah but then where would the intake come from, specs on the internet say the front is for intake and rear/top for exasust. so aspire made it with the front being the intake in mind so youd think they would have had an ample area for sucking the air in.

Unfortunately Scythe puts their wimpiest fan in the Kana. Ok for cooling some HDDs tucked in behind it but not much else. You could mod three of your bay fillers to the same purpose with the fan of your choice.
