Well I'm not going to start a poll since I already drank the coke about half an hour ago lol, lets just say you were in my shoes and had some really old Mexican Coke in front of you that was nice and cold... would you drink it or do you think it'll give you the runs.
The bottle had a copyright year of 1996, and had alot of scuff marks on the bottom edge of the bottle, and toward the waist of the bottle, obviously from moving around in one of those plastic cases to hold bottles. The more recent Mexican Coke I've drank had a copyright year of 2002, and the bottle was slightly different, and alot cleaner... so its safe to say that the coke with the copyright year of 1996 is a couple years old, but hopefully not 10 years old lol.

As for me, I feel fine at the moment, had the stomach gurgle a bit, but has stopped.

As long as the bottle "pshhhhh-ed" when you opened it, I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Yeah it definately did that, but the taste was not as great... which is understandable since its way past its best by date (there was no best by date btw).

I hope you know the Mexican formula for Coke(the soda) is different from the US formula. See them poor Mexicans get something called sugar. Yes, real sugar. Us Americans are stuck with High fructose corn syrup which is "cheaper" than more expensive sugar. This is why Mexican coke has a different taste.

He won't die from the Mexican Coke. He's going to die from too much high fructose corn syrup like the rest of us in the "Civilized" and "Free" world

I love Mexican sodas for that as I can totally taste the difference between HFCS and real sugar. Mmmm... Jarritos.

I think that Mexican Coke uses real sugar... not that High fructose corn syrup crap. It probably still tastes better than the stuff you can get here.

I know Mexican Coke uses real sugar, either from cane or beats. There is no differences between the two.

Reread my orginal post.

Sorry, I just read the last paragraph of your last post, I think they just use cane sugar, I know Europe uses Beat sugar which makes their Coke actually slightly different in taste than the Mexican stuff.

so?

they just stamp another cap on the top after cleaning the bottle and refilling it.

had alot of scuff marks on the bottom edge of the bottle, and toward the waist of the bottle
those scuff marks mean the bottle has been recycled a lot. maybe some are from the milk crates, but i think most of them are from the sorting/cleaning machinery.

It's possible, but I don't think it was refilled, the coke wasn't as crisp or fresh in taste like my other Mexican Coke are. The bottle looked like it went through alot of traveling with all the scuff marks from the plastic case, so I doubt it was refilled, probably just left forgotten on a truck for a couple years I think.

if you go to mexico and get a brand spanking new coke right off the truck there is a very good chance (75%) that it'll come in a worn bottle. why? because in mexico, there is a deposit on the bottles and you have to turn the bottles in to get the same number of bottles back. same exact thing with all the coke my parents would buy in colombia, which was delivered straight to them by the bottler.

Alright man, if it was just refilled then thats better for my health then instead of consuming some really old coke, but I've got a whole milk crate full of Mexican cokes from Lawrenceville, GA and the bottles aren't worn at all, the ones my local Mexican grocer (100 miles from ATL) carries are some really worn out bottles of Mexican coke with different nutrition labels and different copyright years. I got the coke in the worn out bottle from my local Mexican grocer, but I'm pretty sure they might have got it off the same truck since this town is on the way to ATL.
