1. Samonella is actually pretty rare these days.
2. Yes, it raises your cholesterol but tests have shown it increases HDL and LDL the same amount, and it's not so much the AMOUNT of cholesterol in your body as much as it is the RATIO of HDL to LDL that matters. So unless you have heart problems eggs don't need to be restricted.
3. Yes, raw egg does taste like ass.
