Drinking olive oil straight from bottle?

I eat all kinds of weird stuff. A half bulb of garlic, a swig of olive oil, whatever. I guess I'm weird. I bet I could eat more raw garlic than anyone here, though. A tablespoon or curry, meh mehmeh.

A landlord's son (a doctor) used to have a tablespoon of olive oil every morning.

However he died of cancer at 42.

You only do that if you're poisoned in prison. You keep a jug of it in your cell, because nobody suspects anything since its Sicily and its normal, but you have it there to chug so you can puke out the poison.

At the work cafeteria there is this sub sauce at the deli which is basically just italian dressing. Now italian dressing is awesome good so I always joke with my cubemate that I'm just gonna ask to buy the bottle and guzzle it for lunch.

Olive oil goes bad, like milk.

Edit: I time-jumped! first timer.

And that has what to do with drinking it straight from the bottle?

Oh, and unlike milk, it lasts a long time. Typically a year or two after bottling iirc, as long as its stored in a dark cupboard.

No, but I have drunk vinegar straight out of the bottle.

Were you the guy from the "does anyone else like to drink vinegar" thread a few years back?

Don't know if this is sarcasm or not, as I've never heard of that.

But if its true, you'd have to know you just consumed poison. Once it leaves your stomach, no amount of violent purging will get it out. i.e. if its absorbed, you're screwed. 😉

Vinegar is a great guerrilla mouth wash and breath freshener. Beyond that, vinegar has SO many handy uses it would blow your non-vinegar aware mind.

Only thing that compares to vinegar in terms of usefulness is baking soda.
Don't mix the two unless you want a foamy mess (or are do the classic "volcano" science experiment for an elementary school student... or yourself 😉).

Yeah, that was always fun.

Also, adding corn syrup in various quantities allowed you to play with the explosiveness of said volcano. 😀

I actually had a Volcano model that could be painted, and you placed the mix underneath the volcano vent.
Just a touch of syrup let you have a somewhat thick goop that did get ejected.
No syrup and the mix flew out of the vent.
A good amount of syrup made it a thick mess that just kind of oozed out and down the mountain.

I wish I still had that kit. Had it in 5th grade. I would definitely break it out again and play it with.
Sometimes I also wish I still had all my tonka trucks. Nothing like playing in the dirt, and even better, the mud, near the driveway.
If you couldn't tell, I'm still a kid at heart.

Though these days, I'd probably want to try and add some kind of compound that actually helped make a real explosion of sorts, or caused terror in the eyes of the little ant townsfolk. 😀 These days, the closest I get to toys is any kind of explosive or fireworks. I love fire, and I love explosions, and I love loud noises. All combined? sweeet

Would love to go to a milder, more predictable volcano and just stare at it for hours. If I ever visit Hawaii I am doing just that. 🙂

Along those lines, has anyone ever mixed battery acid and oven cleaner?
