Your drinking habits are of no interest to us. If you want to get drunk, please do s on your own time. If you are going to get drunk and stupid, please do not prove it on our forums. AnandTech Moderator
However, after examining my 3 threads relating to different aspect of drinking (with one thread a bump of a thread long ago that I wished to add more information to), I propose that they are all valid Off-Topic posts.
None of them were useless. Instead, they contain information in the topic and in the body of the thread. Also, they provide relief from the tedium of yet another same old thread such as YAGT or YACT for instance.
Also, note that none of the thread contains significant misspelling, if at all. This proves that I did not post them while drunk (which is against forums rules), but instead I was discussing seriously the issues surrounding drinking that presented them to me on that day.
I got drunk on my own time, then came here to post my experiences to the community in order to gain more knowledge about the process of getting drunk.
The comment about "getting drunk and being stupid" was completely off-base as I never did that on the forums or anywhere for that matter. Such things would be considered slander if said in public. However, the message was just a private message, so it is not slander. Yet a comparison can fairly be made between the two forms of address to clearly shine a light on the subject at hand.
