Drinking and driving

I just graduated, and I was called by the county news paper asking me to send in a short statement about drinking and driving. What should I say? (No I don't support it....).

If you are wondering it is because I was lucky enough to be class president that I got ringed into this.

did you just finish high school or college?

Research some statistics on drunk driving deaths... it may be boring, but you can't argue with cold hard facts.

might want to fix your spelling error in the title before someone comes in here and tells you to get your spelling under control before you write it!

😉

Say how drunk driving kills more people yearly than homicide with a gun. So why don't people ban alcohol? Sure guns were invented to kill but that does not negate the fact more fatal accidents occur with alcohol involved yearly than homicides with guns. In fact that makes it worse in a way.

Introduce the thought that its become (in a sick way) almost accepted as reasonable otherwise more people would speak out on it (MADD doesn't count) and hold protests like they do with gun problems.

Many people advocate total ban on "assault" weapons because some can't use them for good things. Why don't these same people want prohibition? I ask a reasonable question.

here come the flames 😉

For everyone that decided the first thing to do was bash me on spelling, I checked the post over and there where only 2 errors (minus the grammatical error I fixed). Thank you so much for your quick and negative responses that help me so little.

DWW, Thanks you, that was just what I was looking for.
