Hey I'm 18 and my friends are mostly 19 and they want me to come to Canada with them over spring break for a few days to party
someone said that the drinking age is 19 though, or at least you need to be 19 to get into bars

anyone know/anyone from canada?
we'll be going by the east part, like driving up from pennsylvania/new york - if thats makes a difference with the providences (dont know exactly where we're going though)

thanks

18 --> "in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Underage drinking by 16-17 year olds under parental supervision is permitted in Manitoba. Underage drinking by minors, under parental supervision in a residence or a temporary residence, is permitted in Alberta."

19 --> "in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut. Underage drinking under parental supervision is permitted in licensed premises in New Brunswick, and at home in the provinces of Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan. (To be clear, in BC, only children of the supervising parents are allowed underage drinking, not any other minors or guests. Consumption of alcohol in another person's home is subject to other laws.)"

But don't thank me, thank Wikipedia!

You're probably going to Ontario, so it's 19.

If you can, see if you can get up to Quebec where it's 18. That, and they have some fan-freaking-tastic strippers in Montreal.

If they are good friends go, you might get caught at a place or two but mostly if you mix in with the crowd in my experience you dont get carded. We had this issue with a friend when we were all 19 and he was 18 in Vancouver

No, it depends on the province just like it goes in the US.
What city are you going to? That would help. We only have like 10 major cities. If you're going thru Penn/NYC, you're either hitting Ontario (19 to enter bars/drink) or Quebec (18 to enter/drink).

Ontario has Toronto and Ottawa.
Quebec has Monteral and Quebec City.

21 all over US.. technically you're right but in practice states get denied highway funding if they do not comply so it is in effect federal law
