I heard that even though the legal drinking age in most of Canada is 18-19, that new laws were passed so that US citizens are subject to the drinking age of their homestate in the USA. Can anyone confirm this?

If it's a Canadia law, I guess they can do that... the drinking age is 21 in all US states, it's a federal law, not a state one.

I think the drinking age is state laws. If the states have anything but 21 as the law, the US Government withholds highway funds so they all went to 21. I live in Wyoming and we were the last holdout (it used to be 19).

I know the US law is federal. Is the Canadian law by providence or nationally?
Any Canadians in here?

I highly doubt that's true: It would be extremely difficult to enforce.
