Sounds just like them non-conservative types that want wind power except in their view at Cape Cod.:whiste:

The Kennedy's were who I immediately thought of too, but then I realized the lack of hypocrisy as the Kennedy's don't run wind power companies.

NIMBY is lame anyway you cut it, but in this case especially so.

The stupidity of the OP never ceases to amaze me. Are you really this ignorant that you think fracking causes earthquakes? It's people like him that are screwing up the country with their sheer ignorance and fearmongering.

Next they'll be saying fracking caused their water to become flammable. You can't set water on fire, people. Water puts OUT fire. Idiots.

Spin baby, spin!

 How is this 'spinning'? The OP claims the CEO of Exxon doesn't want drilling\fracking being done in his backyard. The facts show that 9 fracking sites have been already been constructed within a mile of the CEO's home. Its not spinning to point out how wrong the OP is

The actual fracing does not cause earthquakes. Its what comes after the fracing is over that may become an issue.

The issue is, do the waste water injection sites/injection wells drilled on or through faults do. Do they overload the faults with waste water. Etc.

There is evidence in Ohio and Oklahoma that there can be issues with such sites/wells. Thankfully the investigation of the Parker/Tarrant/Wise earthquakes isn't just going to be done by the TRRC. SMU is doing an independent investigation as well.

Water mixed with methane is certainly flammable. It is also a naturally occurring phenomenon in parts of the country. Most incidences of "flammable" water are naturally occurring. That said it is also a man mad in some places. Has nothing to do with fracing. Most of man made problems are from coal bed methane production, and not fracing.

The biggest problem with fracing in Texas, is the amount of water it uses. Water that can never be reclaimed. Long term it is probably not the best use of water in a chronically drought striken state, that is facing water shortages over the long term(partly because of droughts, mostly because of growth and agriculture).
