He must not have been wearing a seat belt... as horrible as it sounds he was absolutely an idiot for not doing so.

Just STFU, seriously.

Not sure if you two just don't get along or what, but he's absolutely right. Hopefully they learned their lesson.

Neither one of them were wearing seatbelts. You don't go flying out of a car like that if you're wearing a seatbelt.

I don't even know this turd, but the fact that he is happy about these two guys who are quite possibly badly injured or dead disgusts me. I'm sick of people calling this Darwin crap for everyone who has an accident in a dangerous situation. I suppose you live in a bubble? Never do anything risky? Well you know what, I like to ride mountain bikes, I like hiking and doing all sorts of fun stuff that puts me slightly at risk. If I were to be badly injured doing these types of things I'd be pissed off if some pasty nerd started yelling "Darwin!! LoLzz!11" at me.

Serious accidents are just not funny.

I agree, mostly. The difference with your activity is it's an exercise and people very often take the proper safety precautions. These two guys were doing something batsh!t retarded: drifting. To be 100% honest I really do hope they died, just to give drifting an even worse name than it has. It's absolutely worthless and insane.

If that was just normal driving then yea. But they were trying to drift at 100 mph on a public road. Anyone could have been killed just because they were "having fun". No pity from me, on the contrary tbh.

Do you wear a helmet when mountain biking? Do you ride alone or with buddies? If you ride alone, does someone know where you are at?
Do you wear a seatbelt on the boring commute to work?
Or do you jump in a high powered car too see if you can control it going 100+ miles an hour sideways without a seatbelt?
Mind the manatees...

..if they engage in foolish and risky behavior they deserve whatever physics and fate hands them.

How is it an accident? They were trying to do a stunt on purpose. The fact that they did not achive their desired result is not an accident, it was a lack of skill on their part.

True, by the dictionary definition it was an accident, but it's not as though it occurred during a normal driving situation. They were going out of their way to do something risky, and it backfired.

And the fact that they attempted such a stunt without even using the most basic of safety precautions (seatbelts) qualifies them for Darwin consideration...
