Drew Barrymore - yea or nay?

I just saw a commercial for "Music & Lyrics," the new Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore movie, and it prompted me to revisit a topic I've discussed with friends.

I find Drew Barrymore just . . . unpleasant. I have enough of an aversion to her that I will avoid movies featuring DB. Actually that movie "Fever Pitch" was kind of a perfect storm for me, in that it featured DB AND Jimmy Fallon, one of America's most annoying douches. I'm not sure if it's her crooked smile or what, but I just can't stand her.

I'm thinking the opposite. Weak actress, who can only get awful roles, but she's definitely hot.

Even 50 1st dates wasn't too bad (I liked it enough to watch twice)

Interesting perspective - for the record (since I didn't really address her acting above) I think she's a crappy actress who is neither funny nor attractive.

listen to the commentary of 50 First Dates. It is one of my favorite movies and I thought it would be neat to hear it, but i could not stand more than 5 minutes because she is soooo stupid sounding.

I find her annoying, not funny, and not attractive (she always seems to be in limbo between being overweight and not and so she just resembles some amorphous gelatinous blob to me).

She's ok in a couple of movies and isn't bothersome when doing just voicework, but for the most part she makes terrible movies.

She was on The Today Show being interviewed by Meredith this morning (I think) and she sounded OK.

I've always liked her and thought she was pretty though.
