i didn't know where else to post this. Anyways, i have this dremel i always use, its one of the single speed ones, so one day i plug it in and just start to dremel away at some metal... all of a sudden it turns off by itself... i try turning it on and off, nothing, i try unplugging it and plugging it back in, nothing, now it just doesn't work, won't turn on... wtf is going on? i only used it for like less than a minute before it shut off so it couldn't have overheated...any ideas? i think i'm gonna have to buy a new one if i can't get this work, i hate this!!!

Just in case, did you try a different plug? I know it sounds stupid, but it actually happened to me once--for some reason, a socket stopped working! Anyway==any other symptoms? Smoke, burning smell, sounds? I know--those 3 always occur when you're grinding away metal, but I meant beyond the ordinary. Also, you should try the General Hardware or Cases/Cooling forums. Good luck . . .
