It's cheap to buy them over here now. $99.95, pretty good price. I'm not sure if the foreign ones work with american games without some sort of mod. Anyone?

I'm pretty sure you can't play US games if you get a foreign dreamcast.

A foreign one should put out PAL video instead of NTSC like we use here (I may have that backwards though.....)

if you get the loader disc, you can play any games including burned ones

If you follow the "Hot Deals" forum here, I believe you can get one in the US for $79.95.

Seeing as Sega is clearing out their inventory, I can't see it being much cheaper over there, save Japan, where the Dreamcast wasn't/isn't selling well.

I own a Dreamcast (bought on release date 9/9/99) and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I just wish they had SSX for it, it's the best game I have played in a LONG time!

I know that the PS2 is about $100 more in Japan, so the Dreamcast may be as well. But the dreamcast is so cheap right now you might as well get it here. I personally was never a fan of the DC and am decently disappointed with the PS2 (except SSx, MGS2, and Soul Reaver 2). So I'm waiting for an X-box.
