Dreamcast fans, I need some advice

My nephew wants Dreamcast games for Christmas, but I'm not familiar with them. His favorite was Soul Reaver (basically role-playing/fantasy type games), and already has Evolution, Evolution 2, EGG, Slave Zero, and Silver.

Do you have a recommendation as to a game that he would like and doesn't already have?

Definately Skies of Arcadia. Its the first really good "classic" type RPG for the Dreamcast.

IGN DC Review

EDIT: Shenmue's a great game, but not really 100% RPG. Its got a lot of action/adventure elements as well as a completely different fighting engine than the traditional turn based kind found in most RPGs. Plus Shenmue is lacking a party system.

Shenmue is a great game. It isn't a typical RPG though, not at all, but a great adventure game in the most part. Another great game I'm liking right now is Tony Hawk 2 and UFC.

I'd say Konami's Silent Scope, but that badazz sniper rifle found on the arcade version is not available.

I don't know how good the game is without it, you still might wanna give it a look.

Depending on his age, he might find Shenmue a bit slow. (it is fantastic, though).

From the sounds of it, he would enjoy:

Skies of Arcadia
Grandia II
Shenmue

Although if he would like something a bit different:

Jet Grind Radio
Crazy Taxi (only $20 now)

stonerdave - Silent Scope is still pretty good without the scope, but it is REALLY short - basically an afternoon's playing frommwhat I've read.

Does he like sports games? Virtua Tennis, nba2k1 and nfl2k1 are all awesome games. But I gather he likes rpg's so I'm also gonna say skies of arcadia. And Tony Hawk skater 2 is always a safe pick.

Thanks a lot for the quick and helpful responses, everyone! Your replies give me some good choices.

Don't get Ferrari F355. That has to be the worst racing game I have ever played, and I say that for only one reason:

It is WAY TOO realistic!!! It's hard as sh!t and you can only have an in-car view. What kind of racing game is that??🙂
