Dreamcast Emulator?

I just downloaded an emulator and i cant figure out how to work it... Does it play the dreamcast cds in your computer or does it run off of roms? If so where can I download roms or make my own?

Last I heard there was no working dreamcast emulator. There was a ripoff site that was selling a emulator and rom ripper though. Don't have the name of it anymore though.

EDIT: Is the emulator called Nightmare? Its fake.

And dc roms will not read in regular rom drives. Gotta buy the serial cable to hook up the DC

 

Geeze, you can get a DC for like $80 now. Why bother trying to emulate it?

There's a program called the Rom Ripper which allows you to rip dreamcast games from the GD-ROM to the computer using your CD-Rom. Now I don't know if this program actually works since you have to pay for it and can't download it.

Also I found a text file that said that you can rip a GD-ROM using a yahama cd writer and a program called PacketCD by ceQuadrat.

Don't know the validity of either claims though.

Both are wrong. The rom ripper was sold with the nightmare emulator. Packet CD is just like direct cd with high compression. The only way to rip games is with a special cable and software and its not easy to do, it also requires cracking of the games.
