Ok, I'll supply the questions, you guys supply the answers =P

Do you have to do anything other than register online using your DC? When/where do you send in your receipt and upc code if any? Does anyone know a phone number I can call to make sure I have everything set for the rebate? How do I cancel the month membership thing? Thanks d00ds

This is my experience.

I bought my DC and grabbed a flyer from Fry's with the phone number to call for a rebate. I called a week later, talked to the guy who asked for all my info (no CC, but serial #). There seems to be no need to cancel as it is only a free trial, not one of those first month free deals. Too bad I haven't seen my $50 yet :(

This is per the sega site:

<< TO GET THE DEAL

If you purchase a new Sega Dreamcast between June 4, 2000 and August 31, 2000, you're eligible to receive a $50 bonus PLUS a free 30 day trial of SegaNet, the premier Internet Service Provider designed especially for online gaming. How cool is that!

Getting your bonus is easy - just follow these simple steps:

Step 1 - Call SegaNet Customer Service: 1-800-688-8460 to activate your trial account.
Step 2 - Go online with your Dreamcast and come back to this page to proceed.

Simple, no? We want you to experience the fastest Internet connection around! And when SegaNet's gaming network debuts in September, you'll be playing lightning-fast online games such as NFL 2K1.

Just remember, you can't sign up for the bonus from your PC. You must come back to this page using your Dreamcast. See you online!

This offer is only good for Sega Dreamcasts with SKU's 50000 or 50011 and purchased between 6/4/00 and 8/31/00. Your bonus request must be posted by September 15, 2000. Please allow 10 weeks to process and mail your $50 bonus check. SegaNet is not available in Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Customers in these regions are still eligible for the $50 bonus, but not the free SegaNet trial.

I read that on the website, but that only says something like... come to our website again using the dreamcast and you'll get further instructions.
