I keep forgetting which 19 inch monitor I should buy, there are SO many. I was origionally going Samsung 900NF, but the price is kind of high and it is supposed to be WORSE at text display than cheaper monitors (because it is AG).

So which 19 inch flatscreen monitors are good in the 200-350 price range (and where did you find it for that price at). I know Samsung 900NFT looks pretty good, but so do a lot of other 19 inchers.

Nope. Whoever told you that the 900NF's text display isn't short of excellent was deluding you. I have a 700NF so I can remark on this (having a Matrox G400 does not matter - it's the potential of the monitor). AG monitors are rapidly bridging the gap between shadow mask regarding clarity, while they still have an advantage with vibrant colour.

Well I went to monitorsdirect or something, and they had a comparrison tool. No matter how I set it up, the 900NF was said to "have slightly worse text but more vibrant colors"

However, 400+ is a lot to pay for a monitor. But I would pay it if the 900NF would be easy on my eyes (I spend soo much time on my PC, especially in msword (white background with black letters). I think I will be able to live with the black wire screen supports, but some monitors just make my eyes CRY when I see black text on white.

I will have a kyro2, so the 2D quality should be pretty good.

If you want a flat tube: Samsung 955DF

For curved shadow mask tubes: Viewsonic E series (I have a E790 and it's pretty good), or anything made by Samsung, NEC, Hitachi...

Another option is the Samsung 900IFT or LG 915FT Flatron, but they are more pricey.

950P or 955DF it is then...

Both are perfectly flat, right? Or is only the Dynaflat one perfectally flat?

<< I luuuurve my Sony E400 >>

Sony is a little out of my price range ;)

Man the 950P and the 955DF cost ABOUT the same (<300). ARGHHH. Which oneeeeeeeeeee.

SyncMaster 950p
High-end Shadow Mask CRT Monitor

SyncMaster 955DF
Mid-Level DynaFlat Monitor

So a high end shadow mask or a mid level dynaflat... grumble grumble.
