I have had a discussiuon with Kinguni regarding our race with AnandTech and as a result of events today we concluded that to continue to race may be inappropriate.

As such Kinguni has posted this message on the DSLR BB

Lets not have any comments about this decision. Under the circumstances of the events it seems the correct course of action.

I hope you all understand and I echo Kinguni's sentiments about this in his post.

Let me add my own thoughts to what all are saying.

I'm so glad to see that all on both teams have the sense and sensitivity to know when to put the toys aside.
I'm glad you all have been focusing on the really important side - the victims and how to help - rather than the appealing revenge side.

If you can give blood, do so please. It's always needed.
(I can't anymore, because of mono 20 years ago, and I'm distraught about it.)

To whatever deities you believe in, pray for the victims. The dead, the wounded, their friends and families, those whose lives and jobs have been destroyed in a moment's flash.

Pray also for the perpetrators.
Pray that they grow enough to understand what they have really done, instead of the doctrine they probably believe now.
Pray that they learn to ask for the mercy they refused to so many. After that, I leave them in God's hands.
