DRAM Write Recovery Time

I just finished building a new rig for a friend using these parts:

ASUS P5GD1 Pro with 915P chipset
P4 540J 3.2 GHz
2x512Mb PC3200 Geil value RAM
Maxtor Diamondmax 10 200GB SATA harddrive, 8Mb buffer
Pioneer DVR 109
Leadtek PX6800, 256Mb
Antec SLK-2650 BQE
Windows XP Home

Now, the Geil RAM sticks I ordered (GE5123200B) are rated as CAS 2.5-3-3-6 and are on the ASUS board's QVL.

According to CPUID, the RAM's SPD is correctly listed as 2.5-3-3-6, but on the Memory tab it showed it as actually running at 2.5-4-4-8, so I manually set the RAM timings in the BIOS to comply with the faster ratings.

So far so good. But when doing so, I came across a 5th setting called 'DRAM Write Recovery Time', with options being 1T, 2T, 3T or 4T (as far as I remember).

What does that mean and what should the setting be?

Can't explain what it means, but I can tell you that 1T works best.
'Works best' as in 'most stable' or 'fastest'?

I'm assuming that lower is faster, so I set it at T2 (being value RAM and all) and the system seems to be stable so far...
