DRAM Command Rate questions

I have 2 sticks of cheap Kingston CL3 DDR400 running at 2T @2.5-3-3-7

Basically I want to ask this

1.Will I be able to run it at 1T at stock 3-3-3-11? (I don't ask for current timings I know it's impossible)
2.If I'm able to do that how can I test if running it at 1T is better than 2T @2.5-3-3-7?

Standard benches mean little in this case. That's why no responses have cropped up.

My sggestion is to use 3DMark, or a really intense 3D game benchmark to test your config. I say this because the 1T setting will mean very little in business apps and such.

For years people stated that it made little differemce, but I knew that my Unreal Tournament FPS was faster at 1T, all else the same, when compared to 2T. In your case, you are trading RAM timing for interface timing so may not see ANY difference. When you are done, let us know how it works out.
