I took over 200 pics today while my wife and daughters spent all my money.
I had to kneel down in goose poop to get this shot. I didn't even notice that there was a 2nd smaller dragonfly until NOW.

This isn't the original composition, i cropped it and enlarged just a little.
I know its not the sharpest, but I'm really excited and happy with it.

i'm actually kinda scared of them :)

not as bad as i used to be though.

here's another one i took at that location (minus the dragonflies)

I had to do some serious photoshopping though, i didn't have the aperture set right..so i didn't have a single pic with both flowers and the leaf in focus.
So i merged 3 photos.

Awesome pictures...what setup did you use to take that shot? I have tried macro shots...but my telephoto is only f/4-5.6.

i used a d80 with the 18-135 kit lens (which is 3.5-5.6)
I took the shot zoomed all the way in from about 6 feet away or so.

I had the aperture set at 5.6 (max at that zoom), with a shutter speed of 1/320.
The camera was set to pattern metering (i really don't know what that means though)

Then i cropped it and reframed (and enlarged) in photoshop.
